Owl Garden Decor
Sew the sides of the rectangles together leaving one side unstitched.
The rectangle needs to be large enough to hold the beans or rice inside.
I ended up making two pouches for holding more beans afterwards.
Turn the piece inside out so the seam allowance flips to the inside.
Pour the uncooked beans or rice inside.
Stitch the opening closed.
Cut the feet off the socks and discard the feet.
Cut along the length of the tube socks.
pop fire up cut tubes so they are flat and align the pieces with the right sides together.
Fill with polyester batting.
Add the filled pouch to the bottom of the owl.
Trace two large circles on to a sheet of felt.
We used a large mason jar lid.
Cut the circles out and stitch the buttons into the center.
Hand sew the circle shapes (buttons) on to the felt owl.
What is it about doing laundry that causes socks to disappear?
With so many lost sock pairs, I could probably make ahomemade door stopfor every room in my house!
