I knit six eggs so that I could use them as a centrepiece on my coffee table.

You could also buy yarn ends from knitting shops at discounted prices.
Either way, you end up with beautiful, inexpensive (and unbreakable) Easter decor!
Join for working in the round.
Be careful not to twist the stitches.
Place marker for beginning of each round (if desired).
Thread tail onto yarn needle and slip through remaining stitches.
Turn egg inside out and gently pull needle so opening at top of egg closes.
Weave in end securely on wrong side.
Turn egg right side out.
Stuff egg with batting through bottom opening.
Thread CO yarn tail onto yarn needle and close bottom opening.
Repeat these instructions to create as many eggs as you want.
