Spring brings wonderful colors, warmer temperatures and pretty flowers, all because of the rain!
Teaching children about weather helps reinforce the seasons which explain how our amazing planet works.
Things youll need
First, cut out a big fluffy cloud from your first sheet of cardstock.
Pre-soak your broken crayons in a bowl of water to easily remove the paper labels.
Once the labels are removed, use a pencil sharpener to grate the crayons into shavings.
Cut out two sheets of wax paper the same size.
Sprinkle some crayon shavings evenly on one sheet of wax paper, leaving space around the edges.
Lay the second sheet of wax paper on top.
verify your iron is set on the lowest setting.
Set aside your melted wax creation while it cools down.
Time to make some raindrops!
Use your blue marker to draw raindrop shapes on the wax paper and cut them out.
Punch a hole in the top of each raindrop using a hole punch.
Tie some different lengths of thread to each raindrop.
Tape the threads to the back of the cloud and trim away any extra lengths.
To add the layers, cut out two strips of paper and fold them into a Z shape .
Add some glue to the top and bottom of the Z shape to connect the clouds.
A single gentle rain makes the grass many shades greener.
