How to Make Personalized Trinket Trays with xTool P2
Open Creative Space and select a new project.
Insert the trinket tray SVG file onto the canvas.
Personalize the trinket tray as desired with text or images of your choosing.
Upload the flower design from the birth month you wish to use.
Reduce the size to approx.
Ensure the letters are WELDED together before engraving.
Repeat for the other birth flowers you wish to use.
Group the name with the flower together and then space the others apart evenly.
Highlight all and group together.
Set the material jot down to 6mm basswood and use your preferred cut and engrave configs.
Insert the material into the xTool P2 and refresh your screen.
Position the design onto the surface and proceed to cutting and follow the prompts on the screen.
Once cutting and engraving is complete, remove from the machine.
Use a damp paper towel to wipe away the excess dust and scorching marks.
With a soft paintbrush, apply a coat of wood stain or diluted brown acrylic paint.
Leave it to dry and repeat if darker stain is desired.
Once dry, apply a coat of Mod Podge to seal the surface.
Glue the top layer to the base layer with wood glue.
Press together until glue is dry.
