Tis the season to hang some beautiful ornaments on the Christmas tree.
We made this paper plate ornament craft as an easy alternative to real Christmas tree decorating.
This way, little ones can be part of the festivities while practicing their color and shapes vocabulary.
Plus, these ornaments make a perfect decoration for the refrigerator or classroom.
So lets get started, busy elves!
Mix, mix, mix!
Use your paintbrush to paint the paper plate with a layer of glue mixture.
Pick up the tissue paper shapes with the tip of your brush and place them on the plate.
Paint a layer of glue overtop.
Overlap the next piece of tissue and repeat this process.
Optional: you’re free to add some creative details with a marker once the glue is dry.
You could even write your name!
Cut out a square shape with a scalloped edge to make the top of the ornament.
Glue this piece to the front of the plate.
