What could be a more telling sign of the season than a robin hopping along singing their song?
Here is our version of Little Robin Redbreast made with a paper cup!
It might require two coats of paint.
Use a pencil to gently curl the feathers of your wings for a realistic look.
Use a piece of double sided tape near the base of the body.
This will be the anchor for your red yarn.
Begin winding the yarn around the bottom portion of the cup to make the robins red breast.
When you have finished winding, add some white glue to the end and trim.
Now you are ready to glue the wings in place.
Dont forget the robins tail!
Use a small piece of orange construction paper folded in half to trim out an oval shape.
This will be the beak.
Glue on your googly eyes.
Use a pencil to draw the oval cheeks under the robins eyes.
There you have it!
A friendly robin just in time for spring!
