Make your very own ladybug craft with toilet paper rolls!
This is a cute little project for children of all ages as long as they are supervised by adults.
Most often, its going to be a bug, especially pretty ones like ladybugs.
Well, Ive always had an incurable fascination with ladybugs.
But theyrebugs, and I also have an incurable fear of anything that crawls, creeps, or slithers.
How about you meet midway with a fun craft session?
So, lets take a look at all the supplies youll need to make this lovely ladybug.
Step 1
Grab a sock and start rolling it into a sock ball of sorts.
Step 3
Carefully tuck the ends of the sock into the roll.
So, that means that youll be tucking the corners into the opposite end of the toilet roll.
Also, check that that there arent any wrinkles when youre tucking them in.
Step 4
Now, lets take a look at how to make the wings.
Its okay if its a little smaller if you prefer that.

The radius will be the same as the length of half the toilet roll.
Step 6
Use a black marker to outline the circle you just drew.
Just be sure to use thicker paper for this project.
Its going to be much nicer if the wings of the ladybug remain unbent.
Draw a line down the center to divide the circle in half.
Next, go ahead and draw circles on either half of the circle.
Step 7
The final step is to draw the ladybugs antennae.
When youre done, your ladybug should look something like this.
This is a project by itself that Im sure your little ones would love to make on their own!
So, grab a pair of scissors and start cutting along the outline, as indicated.
Cut down the middle of the circle, dividing it into two halves for either wing.
Also, remember to cut out the antennae.
This is where youll be attaching the wings.
Then, repeat this step for the other wing, as well.
Just a word of caution: dont glue the entire wing onto the toilet roll.
You only want the top of it to be stuck in place.
Finally, stick the two antennae on, as well.
Step 11
Step 11 is completely optional.
Pretty cool, huh?
Who Can Make These Ladybugs?
This project would be particularly popular with the younger kids, especially toddlers and preschoolers.
But its also a great craft project for older kids, tween, and even teens and adults.
Where Can I Use These Ladybugs?
I think these ladybugs would look utterly fabulous and sassy perched atop different surfaces of your home.
