Add a few drops of softener into the mixture and stir all together.
Briefly dip flowers, one at a time, into the mixture.
Place flower onto tray facing down to drain and dry.
For a darker color, repeat the dipping process.
Repeat these steps with the other paint colors.
If desired, store the dye mixture in a small, sealed mason jar for future use.
Shake well before using again.
Alternatively, the paint can be brushed directly on to the wood flower.
I love this technique for adding additional colors to the edges of the flower petals.
