Christmas is such a wonderful time of year.
There is nothing like Christmas Day, seeing happy families with gifts open and wrapping paper everywhere.
Its a magical time.
If youre like me though, you may feel a little guilty seeing that wrapping paper everywhere.
Dont throw it away- create Christmas gift wrap decorations!
If you are new to this community, welcome!
We are big on upcycling, or taking recycled material and turning it into something brand new.
There is nothing better than doing this after Christmas time!
Having all of those extra boxes, gift wrapping, etc.
leaves a lot of room for creativity and making new decorations.
We decided to try that with Christmas gift wrap decorations.
I feel like we tend to have bags of wrapping paper by the time Boxing Day rolls around.
That is a bag full of ideas that have not been created yet!

Using your gear, print out a letter onto regular paper enlarging the font.
Next, transfer the letter to cardboard and cut the letter out.
Cut the gift wrap into 4-inch strips and then fold the strip in half.
With the strip folded in half, cut tassels along the strip.
Begin by gluing the strip and rolling it up.
Using scissors, scrape the tassels to fold the over lightly.
Continue until the cardboard letter is concealed.
And with that, the monogram letter made from old wrapping paper is complete.
Isnt it so cute?
