Do you know a kid or two that are more interested in home runs than homemade crafts?
Make your name plate for your favorite team or for your bedroom door with your name on it.
Now, pass me the crackerjacks and… You should have a small strip left over.
These two long strips will make your bat!
Glue the two strips together with your glue stick.
Use your scissors to trim the end of the bat and round off the corners.
Cut along the folded edge.
you could decorate the barrel section with a piece of paper.
Draw and cut out a curve on both ends of the colorful paper.
This will give dimension to the bat.
Glue the paper onto the bat and trim away the excess paper.
Now comes the fun part!
Decorate the bat with markers.
Next, you’ve got the option to make a baseball!
Use a pencil to trace a small bowl onto a sheet of white or cream construction paper.
Use the edge of the same bowl to create two curved lines where the stitching would be.
Use a red marker to draw small arrows along the curved pencil lines.
The stitches will look real!
Cut out your baseball and glue it to the bat to complete the plate!
